At Circle of Friends, we believe housing is healthcare, and that a true home begins long before the walls go up.

Home Starts Here is a $2 million capital campaign to secure the land that will become the foundation for a vibrant, inclusive future for neurodiverse adults, their neurotypical peers, and older adults. 

Long before land is purchased or ground is broken, we’ve been building something powerful: 
A place where people are known. 
A culture of belonging.
A network of support that grows stronger every day. 

These efforts aren’t side projects. They’re the structure. They’re the early walls of a future community that reflects the heart of what we believe: that everyone deserves to be known, a reason to show up each day, and a place to flourish. 

Without turning a single shovel of dirt, we have already begun the building process. 

Because the foundation isn’t made of concrete. It’s made of community.

  • Land is the most urgent and foundational need in our long-term plan to expand inclusive living options and support systems. Without land, we cannot create the spaces where individuals thrive through connection, independence, and belonging.

    This campaign is focused entirely on securing that space.

    Every dollar raised will go directly toward:

    • Identifying and purchasing the ideal property

    • Conducting due diligence and land assessments

    • Establishing a permanent foundation for the future

  • Affordable and appropriately zoned land is increasingly difficult to find. Acting now ensures we have the flexibility, time, and position to plan a future that reflects our values and meets the growing need for inclusive community living.
